Jenna Camille Davis, age 17, of Barbourville departed this life on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 in the University of Kentucky Children’s Hospital in Lexington. She is the daughter of Timothy and Kimberly (Smith) Davis, born to them on January 8, 2002 in Corbin, Kentucky. Jenna enjoyed the academic team, Science Olympiads, dance team, reading books, swimming and watching movies.
She is preceded in death by her great grandparents, Lois and Clara Smith, Charlie and Cledia Mills, Wade & Jane Cobb and Ada Davis Routt.
Survivors include her parents, Timothy & Kimberly Davis of Barbourville, her grandparents, Harrison and Nancy Davis of Cannon and Earl and Betty Smith of Barbourville, her aunts & uncles Sheila Broughton and husband Rick of Bimble, Marcetta Helton and husband Greg of Barbourville, and Judy Cobb and her late husband Tim of Barbourville. She also leaves behind a very special “sister-cousin” Kennedy Alexandria “Alex” Helton and cousins, Ryan Broughton and wife Erin of Barbourville, Holly Morrison and husband Matthew of Richmond, and Paige Cobb of Barbourville, other cousins, Caylin, Eden, Hailie and Sarah, and other special family, Christine Adams and family, Edith Hampton and Taylor, Barbara and Dennis Earley and family, Glennis Mills and family, Lois and Evelyn Mills, Lovella Mills and family, Margie and Ben Gilbert and family, Troy and Jim Logsdon and family, Earnie and Sally Smith and family, Preston and Mildred Smith and family, Aneeda Smith Warren and family, Linda and Bill Stewart and family, Lester and Thelma Smith and family, and Terry Smith and family. She also leaves behind many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Jenna Davis will be conducted at the First Baptist Church on Saturday January 19, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. with the Reverend Shane Nickell, Reverend Jason Doty and Reverend David Barnard officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Barbourville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Cooper Collins, Ryan Broughton, Tanner Mills, Michael Earley, Tucker Smith, Matt Morrison, Trevor Mills, Patrick Earley and Todd Mills. Honorary Pallbearers will be faculty and staff of Knox Central High School and Central Elementary, Sue Miller of Knox Central High School, Johnny Hauser, a family friend, Barbourville Utilities management, employees, staff and Board of Directors, and staff and employees of PNC Bank.
Friends may call at First Baptist Church on Friday, January 18, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., and on Saturday, January 19, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
