Betty Gray Turner age 63, of Himyar, was born on May 13, 1954 in Pineville, Kentucky. She was a daughter of the late Charles Gray and Amanda Taylor Gray. Betty died at the home of her sister, Ruth Mills at Himyar, Kentucky, Thursday April 5, 2018. She was a member of the Artemus Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Betty united in marriage to Kenneth Turner and to this union two beloved children were born.
Along with her parents, and husband, Kenneth, Betty was preceded in death by a Daughter, Angela Dawn Jones; Brothers, J.L. and Ronnie Gray; Nephew, Terry Mills; Niece, Sherry Snow; and Brothers-in-law; Alvie Mills and Chuck Turner.
Betty is survived by her Son; Kenneth Shawn Turner and wife, Nicole of Turkey Creek; her grandchildren; Austin Turner, Chase Turner, Devin Jones and Dylan Jones; her Sisters; Ruth Mills of Himyar; Sue Baker and husband, Curtis of Bardstown, Kentucky; her Brothers; Michael Gray and wife, Glenda and Tom Gray and wife, Wilma all of Himyar and many beloved Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral Services for Betty Gray Turner will be conducted in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel, Sunday, April 8, 2018 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Don Smith and C.J. Trent officiating. Burial will follow in the Farley Cemetery at Himyar, with Ricky Mills, Terry Grubb, Jason Engle, Tim Burton, Jeff Potter and Gettis Gibbs serving as pallbearers. The Turner family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Raju Vora and the Navigators of the Bluegrass who cared for Mrs. Turner during her illness. The Turner Family will receive friends a the Hopper Funeral Home after 7:00 pm Saturday and on Sunday after 10:00 am until the funeral hour at 2:00 pm. Hopper Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
